Exploring Motion and the Cinematic Arts in AI

This is a two page article.

I love movies and writing. I once dreamed of turning my own stories into films. That abandoned dream has now been realized through AI. I create AI films to tell stories, express ideas, and convey emotions.

I don’t have a background in filmmaking or the arts, but I have written dozens of short stories and always imagined them as film scenes. My major in college was sociology, and after graduation my interest shifted toward religious philosophy. The way of thinking in sociology and philosophy is essential to my creative work, because I care deeply about the meaning and purpose behind what I make. Simply creating images that make people go “wow” doesn’t interest me much.

How would you describe your artistic style?
What themes or ideas do you see in your work?

I think my artistic style is to present surreal narratives or metaphysical concepts with a realistic texture, rendered in a cinematic way. I realize that I’m publishing my work on social media, so I usually try to take its entertainment value into account.

Most of my existing works explore themes such as “the mechanization of the human body” and “the humanity of robots.” In more popular terms, I focus on how AI technology is shaping the future world. I believe these seemingly far-fetched scenarios will soon become part of our everyday lives. My works reflect both my imagination of the future and my worried predictions about it. That’s why most of my creations lean toward darkly humorous dystopias or utopias with a dark undertone, though I have also made a few optimistic or romantic utopias. As AI tools keep evolving, I look forward to diversifying my themes even more.

What inspires you?
How do you see your art in terms of the larger culture –  music, art, fashion and so on?
How are your long term goals – do you want to make shorts or even a feature?

My inspiration usually comes from imagining the future. But sometimes a random image or a piece of music will unexpectedly spark an idea—and even become the central tone of a work.

For AI creators, the biggest challenge is not mastering the tools or making something “artistic,” but the fact that most of us share our work on social media. I often joke with my AI artist friends: “People look at our work for maybe three seconds, but we often spend an entire day checking how many likes we got.” Traditional artists spend a lot of time on creation itself, but AI creators spend far less time on “making” and far more on publishing, marketing, and fighting with algorithms for attention. That’s why it’s almost impossible for AI artists not to also become content creators. I think this blurred line between “artist” and “content creator” is worth reflecting on.

My short-term goal is to keep producing very short films, building experience while waiting for AI tools to keep advancing. At the same time, I’m open to opportunities to make ads or music videos. But my ultimate goal is to make a feature film one day—that will be the moment my dream truly comes to life. I’ve always wanted to make a film about witch hunts as my debut.
